Daily Maintaenance

  1. We registered Old age home (Saranalayam) in the year 1996 under the society act. (R.No. 479/96).
  2. For financial management and transactions, we opened an account in the State Bank of India, Vetapalem branch, details below.

  3. Currently there are 40 inmates at the Oldage Home, female inmates are more in number.
  4. We provide breakfast at 7:30 am, lunch at 12:30 pm, snack & tea at 3:00 pm and dinner at 7:30 pm to all inmates everyday.
  5. Respected doctor Dr. K.S. Ramanujam, M.B.B.S., visits Ashramam every 4th Sunday of the month, conducts medical examinations to the inmates and we provide medicines as needed. Everyday male nurse does basic medical examinations to all inmates.
  6. The committee members meet in the first week of every month and review the financial transactions and take actions and decisions for the development of Saranalayam.
  7. For those inmates who demise at the Ashram, we organize funeral services such as procession of the dead body to burial place with devotional songs. So far, we have conducted about 100 such funerals. A separate vehicle is earmarked for this purpose.
  8. Donations from the kindhearted people provided strong foundation for the Ashramam. We do not get or request any help from the government.
  9. For helping inmates on various needs, we recruited chef for cooking, male nurse for daily monitoring of the health and an accountant for recording various transactions.
